Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
On August 2, 1983, your office was informed of a hydraulic snubber that was noted as being technically inoperable for more than 72 hours8.333333e-4 days <br />0.02 hours <br />1.190476e-4 weeks <br />2.7396e-5 months <br />. This concerns an operation subject to a limiting condition for operation which was less conservative than the least conservative aspect of the limiting condition for operation established in the Technical Specifications. Reportable Occurrence Report R0-270/83-09 providing details of this incident was to have been submitted to you by September 2, 1983, pursuant to Technical Specification 6.6.2.1.a(2).
However, the investigation of this incident and the preparatior of a report are incomplete at this time.
It is expected that the investigatian and report will be completed, reviewed, and submitted to you no later than September 12, 1983.
