BLRD-50-438/83-18, BLRD-50-439/83-14 FIRST INTERIM REPORT Description of Deficiency Inspections of rigorously analyzed pipe supports were not correctly performed. The support installation locations were not verified against the seismic analysis isometric locations for those cases when the installed location deviated from TVA's Division of Engineering Design's design detail locations. The apparent cause of this deficiency was a misunderstanding of paragraph 7.1.b of BNP-QCP 6.17, which requires the verification of the location deviation.

Interim Progress All completed inspection records for rigorously. analyzed supports are being reviewed to see that the location recorded on the inspection record is within the location specified by the governing analysis document (plus any applicable tolerance).
