y-BELLEFONTE NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 1 AND 2 - POTENTIAL DETERIORATION OF ISOPRENE GASKETS ON STANDBY DIESEL GENERATORS - BLRD-50-438/83-08, BLRD-50-439/83 SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT The subject deficiency was initially reported to NRC-0IE Inspector Linda Watson on December 17, 1982 in accordance with 10 CFR 50.55(e) as NCR BLN MEB 8209. This was followed by our final report dated January 24, 1983 As discussed with NRC-0IE Inspector Linda Watson on February 17, 1983, the date of February 18, 1983, for completion of corrective actions indicated in our final report on this matter would not be met. Installation of the new gasket is not reconnended until immediately before operation of the generator. Thic information was provided by the vendor, TransAmerica Delaval, Inc., of Oakland, California. Initial test operation of the generator has been rescheduled for December 28, 1983 Therefore, the corrective action on this matter will be completed by December 28, 1983 We consider 10 CFR Part 21 to be applicable to this deficiency.
