This trip was caused by a power spike in Vital Bus 2.

Leads were shorted when removing a circuit card from the reactor vessel level monitoring system. At 2307 commenced reactor start-up. At 0042 on December 22, 1983, reactor critical and by 0313 Unit 2 was on line.

83-30 F (2) On December 30, 1983 at 1335 commenced rampdown of Unit 2 due to tube leak in condenser (secondary side). By 1940 on December 30, 1983 Unit 2 was off-line. Repairs were made and reactor was critical on December 31, 1983, at 1345. Unit 2 was on-line at 1554 on December 31, 1983.

Unit was stabilized at 30% power for a chemistry hold.
