BELLEFONTE NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1 - CABLE BEND RADIUS FOR DIESEL GENERATOR CONTROL CABINETS - BLRD-50-438/83 FIRST INTERIM REPORT The subject deficiency was initially reported to NRC-0IE Inspector P. E. Frederikson on December 6,1982 in accordance with 10 CFR 50.55(e) as NCR 2053 Enclosed is our first interim report. s Description of Deficiency

'T The "from end" cable bend radii of medium voltage power cables 1RT-ECAS-69, 70, 71-A and 194, 195, 196-B in deisel generator control cabinets 1hT-ELCP-1-A and 2-B are less than TVA General Construction Specification G-38 minimum allowable values. The design and installation ~ of the cable system for the diesel generator control, cabinets was performcd by TVA.
Interim Progress TVA is preparing a list of cable manufacturers and contract numbers for each cable. After this information has been accumulated, the involved cable vendors will be contacted and requested, to assist TVA in aetermining the appropriate corrective action for this condition.
