Discussion:
On June 14, 1982, Carole Bu: stein, plaintiff pro se, filed suit seeking an injunction to enjoin the NRC from considering the granting of an operating license to Louisiana Power and Light for Waterford III until the NRC can demonstrate (1) the safety of nuclear waste storage; and (2) that plaintiff can be fully insured against any and all nuclear damage.
In addition, Ms. Burstein has requested attorney's fees and money damages as follows:
S 450,000 -- market value of house S
650,000 -- market value of office building
$1,000,000 -- lost future rent S
200,000 -- loss from unsalability of lots
$1,000,000 -- punitive damages for civil rights vi.)lation Ms. Burstein, heretofore unknown to the NRC, is a resident and property owner in New Orleans.
