6 JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1 NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF OPERATIONS OCTOBER, 1983 During the month of October, there were two (2) unit shutdowns.

On October 13, 1983 a manual shutdown was initiated for repair of-the turbine gland exhaust condenser. An automatic shutdown occurred on October 16, 1983. '

The following safety-related maintenance was performed in the month of October:

1. Performed miscellaneous maintenance on diesel generators.
2. Removed waste evaporator condensate tank manway cover.
3. Overhauled #9 river water pump.
4. Replaced numerous waste evaporator filters.
5. Repaired refueling water purification pump.
