In a July 27, 1983 letter to Carolina Power & Light Company, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission established conditions relating to the Alternative Shutdown Capability Assessment (ASCA) for the Brunswick Steam '-
Electric Plant Unit Nos. I and 2.
Rese conditions included conducting-monthly progress meetings with NRC staff and submitting written quarterly progress reports on the ASCA.
.h e first two monthly progress meetings were held on September 7 and October 6,1983.
The first quarterly ASCA progress report is attached to this.
