Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Summary Description for Protection \\ gainst Malevolent Use of Vehicles at Nuclear Power Plants This summary description is submitted in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 73.55(c)(9)(i). Our proposed vehicle control measums, Enclosure 1, as required by 10 CFR 73.55(c)(7) will protect against use of a land vehicle as a means of tansportation to gain unauthorized proximity to vital areas. Further, the results of the vehicle bomb comparison, = closure 2, as required by 10 CFR 73.55(c)(8) show the control measures will stop the design basis vehicle and explosive outside the safe standoff perimeter denned in NUREG/CR 6190 Volumes 1 and 2. We can confirm that the vehicle control measures meet the deagn goals and criteria specified by the Commission. No exemptions or alternate measures to meet the design goals and criteria are being requested.
A site diagram on GPUN Drawing 3E-120-01-003, Sheet I of 4, Rev. N, Enclosure 3, that outlines the Vehicle Barrier System (VBS) and identifies the active and passive components of the VBS has been included with this summary description.
Only Enclosure 2 contains Safeguards Information and must be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 73.21.
