In accordance with Plant Technical Specification 6.9.2.a.3, the following event is reported.

At 1452 hours0.0168 days <br />0.403 hours <br />0.0024 weeks <br />5.52486e-4 months <br /> on Septanber 26, 1983, a service water leak was discovered on Containment Fan Cooler HVH-2. HVH-2 was then declared inoperable at 1601 hours0.0185 days <br />0.445 hours <br />0.00265 weeks <br />6.091805e-4 months <br /> (breaker open), and at 1640 hours0.019 days <br />0.456 hours <br />0.00271 weeks <br />6.2402e-4 months <br />, the HVH-2 leak was isolated. The NBC was notified of this Unusual Event via the Bnergency Notification System (ENS) at 1550 hours0.0179 days <br />0.431 hours <br />0.00256 weeks <br />5.89775e-4 months <br />. At 1700 hours0.0197 days <br />0.472 hours <br />0.00281 weeks <br />6.4685e-4 months <br />, the NBC was notified via the ENS that the Unusual Event had terminated at 1640 hours0.019 days <br />0.456 hours <br />0.00271 weeks <br />6.2402e-4 months <br />. In accordance with Technical Specification 3.3.2.2.a, operability testing of the containment spray pumps was empleted at 1735 hours0.0201 days <br />0.482 hours <br />0.00287 weeks <br />6.601675e-4 months <br />. Subsequently, repairs were performed, and HVH-2 was returned to service at 0630 hours0.00729 days <br />0.175 hours <br />0.00104 weeks <br />2.39715e-4 months <br /> on September 27, 1983. This event is considered a degradation of a containment boundary pursuant to IE Bulletin 80-24 and is reported as such.
