- 1. NARRATIVE
SUMMARY
OF OPERATING EXPERIENCES Limerick Unit 1 began the month of July at a nominal 100% of rated thormal power. On July 7, 8,13,17, and 18 power was reduced to 98-99% due to high turbine back pressure. On July 19, load was reduced to 87% because of '1H' condensate domineralizer regonoration. Reactor pomor was returned to 100% on the fo!!owing shift. A series of load drops to 94% were done due to high turbine back pressure and then a load drop to 86% for '1D* and 'IG' condensate filtor domineralizor regonoration was conducted. Reactor power was returnod to 100% on July 21.
Load drops of 6% 3%. air) 8% were conducted on July 21, 22, and 23 due to high turbine back pressure. On July 23 at 2343 hours0.0271 days <br />0.651 hours <br />0.00387 weeks <br />8.915115e-4 months <br />, with the reactor ht 100% power a '1B' reactor recirculation pump trip caused a power reduction to 35%. Reactor power was returned to 95%
on July 26, but a load drop to 60% was done for a 100% control rod pattern adjustment.
Reactor power was returnod to 100% on July 28. A brief load drop to 96% was performed for a control rod exercise test on July 28. On July 31, load drop to 90% to perform a control rod pattern adjustment was conducted. Unit 1 ended the month of July at 100% of rated thermal power.
Operational events that occurrod during the month of July included:
On July 24, the '1B' Reactor Recirculation Pump Drive Motor Breaker trippod. Roactor power was roduced to approximately 30%. The Reactor Rocirculation Pump tripped due .
to spurious actuation of the pump motor stator high temperature relay. This condition
. was reset and tho '1B' Reactor Rocirculation Pump was restarted.
- 11. Challences to Maln Steam Safety Relief Va!ves There were no challengos to the Main Steam Safety Roliof Valves during the month of July.

SUMMARY
OF OPERaflNG EXPERIENCES Limerick Unit 2 began the month of July at a nominal 100% of rated thermal power. On July 25, reactor power was briefly reduced to 90% to perform Main Turbine Control Valve testing. On July 27, reactor power was briefly reduced to 96% to perform a control rod pattern adjustment.
Unit 2 ended the month of July at 100% of rated thermal power.
