Gentlemen:

On July 18,1991, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued Amendment No.184 to the Brunswick steam Electric Plant, Unit 2 operating license. During our post approval review Of the amendment, CP&L determined a currently approved fuel type (GE9x8NB) had been inadvertently dcleted from Technical Specification 5.3.1. The GE8x8NB fuel type, as well as the BP8x8R, GE8x8EB, and GE8x8NB-3 fuel types, were all shown on the hand marked Technical Specification page 51 included in our April 23,1991 submittal. All four fuel types were referenced in the Staff's Safety Evaluation accompanying the amendment. The omission was apparently introduced during typing of the final, typed Technical Specification page provided in our July 9,1991 submittal.

Enclosed is a revised, typed Technical Specification page 5-1 which includes the omitted fuel type.

The Company requests the Staff re-issue the corrected Unit 2 Technical Speci'ication page. The Company regrets any inconvenience caused by the omission.
