NIAGARA M0 HAWK POWER CORPORATION NINE MILE POINT NUCLEAR STATION UNIT #1 NARRATIVE OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE August 1983 The Station operated during the month of August 1983 with a monthly availability factor of 100% and a net design electrical capacity factor of 91.4%. Capacity factor was limited due to warm circulating water from Lake Ontario.

CLASS-I WORK - MAINTENANCE --August 1983 WR #22493 - Changed #12 CRD filters - 8/15/83

  1. 22182 _ Repaired hanger H49 on 6" test line

.#22613 - Added packing to #13 FW Booster pump - 8/31/83

  1. 22614 - Changed #11 CRD filters CLASS I WORK - INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL - August 1983 WR #22h16 - #11 H2-02 analyzer not working properly-(low reading).

Found and replaced' defective sample pump.

CLASS I WORK - ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE - August 1983 N1-MST-M1 - 125 VDC Batteries, cell specific gravities and battery voltage.

MO 1076 - Liquid poison heat tape MO 3411 - Core spray /Rx. head vent valve logic mod.
