Dear Mr. Starostecki:

This is an interim report in accordance with 10CFR50.55(e) for the potentially reportable deficiency concerning separation criteria for the Power Generation Control Complex equipment. This condition was reported via telephone to Mr. J. Wiggins of your staff on January 20, 1983 and was followed by an interim report on February 23, 1983.

Niagara Mohawk and General Electric have reviewed the problem as described in our February 23, 1983 Interim Report and are in the process of performing corrective actions.

These corrective actions are expected to be completed by mid-October 1983. A final report will be submitted by October 31, 1983.
