NCR 2317 FIRST INTERIM REPORT n
Description of Deficiency The unit 2 Reactor Building Incore Monitor tank sleeves, for incore piping, (El 639.01 Mark 1 and 2 sleeves) are 18'-2-3/4" and I'-9-1/2" from the center line of the reactor building. On the unit 1 plan view, the dimensions are 18'-2-3/4" and 2'-3-1/2".
As a result, the unit 2 sleeves in the incore tank are installed 6" west of their intended location.
Interim Progress TVA is investigating the possibility of using the tank sleeves in their present configuration.
Babcock and Wilcox (B&W) has been notified of this condition and has been asked to review the "use as is" possibility since it deviates from their acceptance criteria as outlined in their letter C-3782.
