NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDHENTS FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NOS. NPF-9 AND NPF-17 4
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 20 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-9 and Amendment No. I to Facility Operating License No. NPF-17, issued to Duke Power Company (licensee) for the McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 (the facilities) located in Mecklenburg
_ County, North Carolina. These amendments are effective as of their dates of i
issuance.
2 These amendments increase the maximum flow rate for the' centrifugal charging
{
pump and correct several typographical errors in the initial issuance of the Tech-nical Specifications.
p Issuance of these amendments complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's regu-lations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Comission's regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the i
license amendments. Prior public notice of these amendments was not required since the amendments do not involve a significant hazards consideration.
The Commission has determined that the issuance of these amendments will not f
result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR 551.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement, or negative declaration and environ-i mental impact appraisal need not be })repared in connection with issuance of these j
