R. Priebe DATE: 3/23/83 TIME: 1918 DESCRIPTION OF REPORTABLE OCCURRENCE:
Initial Conditlen At the time of the occurrence on 3-23-83 at 1900 CST, Unit 1 in steady state operation at 2433 MNt.
Nature of Occurrence Conduit supports for both loops of the Residual Heat Removal (RHR)
LPCI system were found damaged.
These supports supported the power feed cables of the RHR valve motors 1 Ell-F015B and 1 Ell-F017A.
The operability of both loops of LPCI would be suspect during a seismic event which would be contrary to the requirements of Tech. Specs.
section 3.5.B.3.
An analysis is being performed by the AE using the i
4 "as-found" condition of the conduit supports.
Immediate Corrective Action Upon discovery, the damaged supports were replaced with qualified supports.
Cause The cause of the supports' damage is unknown.
i Supplemental Corrective Action The corrective actions were made immediately and no supplemental corrective action is needed.
Status of Redundant or Backun Systems h
The HPCI, RCIC, ADS, and CS systems were operable.
