BELLEFONTE NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 1 AND 2 - FAILURE TO PERFORM ANALYSIS CHECKS ON IS0 METRICS AND LOAD TABLES - BLRD-50-438/82-75, BLRD-50-439/82 SECOND INTERIM REPORT The subject deficiency was initially reported to NRC-0IE Inspector R. V. Crlonjak on October 26, 1982 in accordance with 10 CFR 50.55(e) as NCR BLN CEB 8215. This was followed by our first interim report dated November 24, 1982. Enclosed is our second interim report. We expect to submit our next report by March 25, 1985.

SECOND INTERIM REPORT Description of Deficiency Problems N4-1KE-F, N4-2KE-F, N4-1NK-B, and N4-2NK-B, isometrics drawings and load tables were signed out and issued before the analysis check was performed. On problems N4-1KE-F and N4-2KE-F, the analysis check has now been performed and several analysis errors have been found which are significant. Problems N4-1NK-B and N4-2NK-B have not been checked at this time. The cited isometrics and load tables are used in the design of essential raw cooling water pipe supports and reactor coolant drains and vents system supports.
Interim Progress The deficiencies in problem N4-1KE-F have been resolved and the problem is being signed out for issue. Problem N4-2KE-F is scheduled for reanalysis with a late finish date of February 15, 1985. The class 2 analysis of problems N4-1NK-B and N4-2NK-B are scheduled to be completed by August 31, 1983 TVA's review and stress report of problems N4-1NK-B and N4-2NK-B leading to sign-out and issue are to be completed by June 3, 1984.
TVA is still evaluating this deficiency to determine if programmatic deficiencies exist and need to be addressed.
