CONSTRUCTION DELAY ON WNP-3 Refemnce:
603-83-451. GD Bouchey to HR Denton. dated June 3. 1983 The reference letter infonned you of implementation of a 30 day construction slowdown on WMP-3 while the supply System investigated alternative sources of financing.
On July 8.1983 the Supply System Executive Board adopted a resolution calling for an imediate construction delay of WNP-3 until an assured source of funding for continued construction can be obtained. A detailed implementation plan is currently in development anti is expected to be completed around August 1.1983. The Supply System will attempt to preserve the capabi.ity for a reasonably efficient restart during the next 3 to 9 months by mtaining the key class 1 contractors.
The Supply System remains committed to preservation of the physical plant and maintenance of the constructicn pemit during the period of construction delay. Additionally, the Supply System will continue to seek to remove the impediments preventing further financing of WNP-3 in order to msme project construction activities.
