SEVENTH INTERIM REPORT Description of Deficiency A number of B&W supplied instruments inre intended for installation in TVA's free standing, open, local instrument panels. Because of imprecise specifications in a TVA procurement document, the instrumentation supp?.ied by B&W has not been seismically qualified-to a response spectra which is compatible with the response spectra for TVA local instrument panels.
The responsibility for this deficiency is TVA's.

ITT Barton Model 227 Diff. Press Switch ITT Barton Model 288A Electro / Pneumatic Converter Fisher Model 546 Interim Progress TVA is continuing to work both internally and with B&W in order to resolve the seismic problem. To date, of the 253 total B&W devices in question,'all but 32 have been determined to be acceptable. For those 32, TVA is still awaiting B&W input in order to resolve this deficiency.
Additional information will be provided in our next report.
