Dear Mr. Starostecki:
On April 2,1982, we submitted a final report under 10CFR50.55(e) for the deficiency concerning Power Strut spring nuts.
The corrective actions detailed in that report have been completed.
The details are as follows:

Field Purchase Order (FP0) 12113 - Nuts from this lot have been returned to the vendor.
2.
FP0s 9941 and 12234 - Nuts from these lots which were used in permanent plant installation and which did not have yellow chromate finish have been removed and returned to the vendor. Reinspection results, documented in Nonconformance and Disposition Report No. 3075, indicate that 391 spring nuts were removed and replaced with spring nuts having yellow chromate finish.
There are approximately 150 nuts from these lots that are unaccounted for. We believe these nuts have either been used as samples or were used in nonpermanent plant applications and are now embedded in concrete.
To ensure that the proper spring nuts ara used in all Category I permanent plant applications in the future, Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation Quality Assurance Inspection Plan No.
N20E061AFA008 has been revised.
