This was followed by our interim reports dated December 23, 1980 and April 23 and October 28, 1981. Enclosed is our fourth interim report. We expect to submit our next report by May 18, 1982.

FOURTH INTERIM REPORT Description of Deficiency A number of B&W supplied instruments are intended for installation in TVA's free standing, open, local instrument panels. Because of imprecise specifications in a TVA procurement document, the instrumentation supplied by B&W has not been seismically qualified to a response spectra which is compatible with the response spectra for TVA local instrument panels.
The responsibility for this deficiency is TVA's.

Inte im Progress TVA is reviewing all of the subject equipment to determine what level of seismic load each component can sustain. "TVA is also reviewing the physical location of each component to determine what level of seismio loading it will see.
