SUMMARY

APRIL.1994 f

Oyster Creek entered April at full power operation. On April 5 at 1551 hours0.018 days
0.431 hours
0.00256 weeks
5.901555e-4 months
, the plant automatically shutdown due to a failed density compensator in the Feedwater Control System's main stetun flow signal. The shutdown ended a record continuous mn for Oyster Creek of 413 days during which the plant generated 6,051,498 MWH net electric. The shutdown was utilized to perfonn maintenance on the drywell fans and to repair V-16-133, a source of increased unidentified leakage. After the drywell work was completed, a reactor start up commenced. The generator went on line with the grid at 1950 on April 13, and the plant returned to full power at 0240 on April 15. The plant maintained full power operation for the remainder of the month.

The plant generated 320,441 net megawatt-hours electric and attained a MDC net capacity factor of 73.1 % for the month.
