The subject deficiency was initially reported to NRC-0IE Inspector Don Quick on March 1, 1982 in accordance with 10 CFR 50.55(e) as NCR 1749. This was followed by our first interim report dated March 29, 1982, our final report dated June 2, 1982, our revised final report dated July 8,1982, and our second revised final report dated August 6,1982.
As discussed with NRC-0IE Inspector R. V. Crlenjak by telephone on November 19, 1982, the date of December 1, 1982 for completion of corrective actions indicated in our second revised final report on this matter was not met. The wear rings sent by B&W require machining before they can be used. TVA is awaiting approval from B&W to perform this operation. The corrective action on this matter will be completed by February 1, 1983 We consider 10-CFR Part 21 applicable to this deficiency.
