Enclosed is an interim 30-day report in accordance with 10CFR50.55(e) for the potential deficiency regarding environmental and/or seismic qualification documentation of certain control room equipment.
This condition was reported by telephone to Mr. W. Baunack of your staff on September 21, 1982 as a potentially reportable deficiency.

DESCRIPTION OF DEFICIENCY A recent NMPC QA inspection indicated that sufficient environmental and/or seismic qualification documentation did not exist for certain control room equipment. The control room equipment includes:

Master Specialties Switch & Light Unit (Seismic)
Bailey Type 701 Controller (Environmental)
Bailey Type 701 Square Root Extraitor (Environmental )
Bailey Type 701 Summer (Environmental )
Bailey Type 701 Alarm Unit (Environmental )
Bailey Type 701 Flow Controller (Environmental )
Leeds & Northrup Speedomax Mark III Recorder (Environmental & Seismic)
GE Vertical Meter Type 185 (Environmental)
Riley Temperature Switch (Environmental )

General Electric has been requested to provide the sufficient documentation.
