Amendment Nos.104 and 97 to the Farley Unit I and Unit 2 Technical Specifications were issued December 29,1994. These amendments changed the Technical Specifications to allow elimination of the steam /feedwater flow mismatch reactor trip (Table 4.3-1, Functional Unit No.14). The amendments were to be implemented upon completion of necessary design modifications following each unit's next refueling outage. Subsequently, Amendment Nos.106 and 99 (Units 1 and 2, respectively,) were issued May 16,1994.
These Technical Specifications amendments changed the surveillance test intervals and allowed outage times for the Reactor Trip System and Engineered Safety Features Actuation System which afTected Table 4.3-1. At the time Amendment Nos.106 and 99 were issued, the plant modification to eliminate the steam /feedwater flow mismatch reactor trip had been completed on Unit 1, but had not been completed for Unit 2. (The Unit 2 modification is scheduled for the spring 1995 refueling outage.) Due to the timing of the design change modifications and the issuance of the two amendments for each unit, Page 3/4 3-13 must be corrected to reflect deletion of the steam /feedwater flow mismatch on Amendment Nos.106 and 99. The updated page provided with this letter is purely an editorial change not subject to 10 CFR 50.90 since Unit 2 Amendment Nos. 97 and 99 have both been approved under this process.
