ENCLOSURE BELLEFONTE NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 1 AND 2 TOLERANCE FOR TUBULAR STEEL CABLE TRAY HANGERS 10 CFR 50.55(e)

BLRD-50-438/81-47, BLRD-50-439/81-50 THIRD INTERIM REPORT

~3 Description of Deficiency i

Because of a misunderstanding, TVA Bellefonte field forces fabricated and installed cable tray hangers outside the tolerances allowed by the seismic analysis.

Interin Progress TVA has identified those supports that were modified outside the tolerances ellowed. These are deviations not covered by an approved field change request. These deviations have been analyzed by a designer and are now being reviewed by a checker on a case-by-case basis. Any modification required to ensure seismic qualification will be made.

Additional information will be supplied in our next report.
