In accordance with NUREG-0737 item II.B.1, Reactor Coolant Gas Vent System (RCGVS) and our submittal of May 11, 1982, the procedure for operating the Reactor Coolant Gas Vent System is being submitted for your review. This procedure has been developed for use when it has been determined that a void exists in the Reactor Coolant System and must be vented.
Plant review of the procedure has progressed to the point where submittal to the Staff is appropriate.
This completes the submittal of information requested by the NRC for the purpose of evalu-ating and approving the RCGVS for operation.
Upon completion of Staff review and approval for use, this procedure will be added to the plant operating manual.
It will be included in the manual under the heading of operating instructions. The emergency operating procedures will contain instructions directing the operator to utilize this procedure in the event plant conditions warrant venting of the Reactor Coolant System.
