BELLEFONTE NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 1 AND 2 - FAILURE TO PERFORM ANALYSIS CHECKS ON IS0 METRICS AND LOAD TABLES - BLRD-50-438/82-75, BLRD-50-439/82 FIRST INTERIM REPORT The subject deficiency was initially reported to NRC-0IE Inspector R. V. Crlenjak on October 26, 1982 in accordance with 10 CFR 50.55(e) as NCR BLN CEB 8215. Enclosed is our first interim report. j Description of Deficiency I
Problems N4-1KE-F, N4-2KE-F, N4-1NK-B, and N4-2NK-B, isometrics drawings t
and load tables were signed out and issued before the analysis check was performed. On problems N4-1KE-F and N4-2KE-F, the analysis check has now I
been performed and several analysis errors have been found which are significant. Problems N4-1NK-B and N4-2NK-B have not been checked at this 4
time. The cited isometrics and load tables are used in the design of essential raw cooling water pipe supports and reactor coolant drains and vents system supports.
Interim Progress On problems N4-lKE-F and N4-2KE-F, the discrepancies have not been resolved because the related analysis error (documented on NC,R BLN CEB 8209) has not
.been resolved. When a resolution is obtained on the related deficiency then the checking deficiency of this NCR will be addressed and resolved.
Problems N4-1NK-B and N4-2NK-B are being scheduled for checking at this time.
TVA is evaluating this deficiency to determine if prograianatic deficiencies exist and need to be addressed.
