Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation hereby transmits an Application for amendment to Nine Mile Point Unit 2 Operating License NPF-69.
Also enclosed are the proposed changes to the Technical Specifications set forth in Appendix A of the above mentioned license.
Supporting information and a.

Specifically, Table 4.3.7.10-1, " Radioactive Gascous Effluent Monitoring Instrumentation Surveillance Requirements," is.being proposed for revision to require isolation of the offgas system as part of the 28 month channel calibration for the Noble Gas Activity Monitor.
Tr.is is in lieu of the requirement to demonstrate actual isolation during the monthly functional test.
Isolation of the offgas system during plant operation can result in loss of vacuum and a resultant turbine trip.
Table 3.3.7.10-1, " Radioactive Gaseous Effluent Monitoring Instrumentation," is also being proposed for revision to reflect the as-built configuration of the Noble Gas Activity Monitor instrumentation.
Pursuant to 10CFR50.91(b)-(l), Niagara Mohawk has provided a copy of this license amendment request and'the associated Lnalysis regarding no significant hazards to the appropriate state representative.
