o UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-369 DUKE POWER COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT 4
FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. NPF-9 The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No.18 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-9, issued to Duke Power Company (licensee) for the McGuire Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (the facility) located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
The amendment pemits a one-month extension of the time interval between con-tainment penetration type C leak rate tests in order that it coincide with a sched-uled shutdown.
In connectinn with this action, the Commission has granted an exemption to 10 CFR 50, Appendix J. " Primary Reactor Containment Leakage Testing For Water-Cooled Power Reactors."
Issuance of this amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's regu-lations.
The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
The Commission has determined that the issuance of this anendment will not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR 551.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement, or negative declaration and environ-mental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of 'this o me d ?S.ng,me n,t.,,,,,,
