Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Docket No. 50/395 Operating License No. NPF-12 Emergency Exercise Drill Requirements
Dear Mr. Denton:
In a letter dated September 23, 1982, South Carolina Electric and Gas Company (SCE&G) acting for itself and as
^l agent for its Co-Licensee, South Carolina Public Service Authority, requested an exemption (if required) from the requirement in 10CFR.50.47 concerning conducting a full scale emergency drill within one year of receipt of a full power (>5%) license.
In this letter SCE&G stated that we were prepared to conduct a partial emergency drill (SCE&G and county participation) as early as February,1983.
Since that time we have been informed that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) cannot participate in a drill with us until the second week in March, 1983.
Based on the unavailability of FEMA in February,1983, SCE&G will conduct a limited emergency drill in March, 1983.
