j.e'* ENCLOSURE DESCRIPTION AND JUSTIFICATION (TVA BFNP TS 177) Description of Change Revise figure 3 5.K-1 to reflect the correct MCPR values for 8x8, 8x8R, and P8x8R fuel types. Description and Justification During a design review for another project, General Electric Company (GE) identified an error in the assumed active full-length input in the ODYN transient analysis for Browns Ferry unit 1, cycle 5 reload. As a result of_ this error the cycle MCPR values previously calculated were found to be nonconservative. NRC was informed of this error by GE on May 5,1982 and by TVA in Licensee Event Report BFRO-50-259/82030 on May 18, 1982. GE has reperformed the cycle 5 transient analyses with the proper active fuel lengths yielding transient A CPRs and cycle MCPRs as shown below. The following are revised values from sections 9 and 11 of the Supplemental Reload Licensing Submittal for Browns Ferry unit 1 reload No. 4 (cycle 5). 9 Core-Wide Transient Analysis Results Revised Nominal ACPR Load Rejection Without Bypass 8x8 8x8R P8x8R (GLRWOB) 0.19 0.19 0.21 Feedwater Controller Failure (FWCF) 0.16 0.16 0.17 11.
