NIAGARA M0 HAWK POWER CORPORATION Nine Mile Point Unit 2 Docket No. 50-410 Final Report Under 10CFR50.55(e) Regarding Rosemount Pressure Transmitters Model No.1152 Description of the Problem The problem concerns Rosemount pressure transmitters Model No.1152 with output codes A and D.
These transmitters provide ambiguous output at pressures over or under the specified pressure range. This condition previously had been reported to the Region V office of Inspection and Enforcement by our nuclear steam system supplier, General Electric (GE), in accordance with the requirements of 10CFR21.
Analysis of Safety Implications GE has now informed NMPC that Model No.1152 pressure transmitters supplied to Nine Mile Point Unit 2 do not use the A or D amplifier boards. Therefore, a deficiency concerning Rosemount pressure transmitters Model No.1152 with output codes A and D does not exist on Nine Mile Point Unit 2.
