Dear Mr. Clark:
Environmental Qualification of Safety-Related Electrical Equipment at the Fort Calhoun Station Mr. E. Tourigny of your staff requested the Omaha Public Power District provide a letter documenting the District's response to questions that were discussed during a telephone conversation on September 1,1982 with Messrs. Patterson and Short of the District regarding the subject issue.
Specifically, Mr. Tourigny requested clarification and/or confirmation of information provided on pages 6-119 and 6-120 (System Component Evaluation Work Sheets for auxiliary feedwater solenoid valves HCV-1107B and 1108B) of the District's letter dated April 2,1982. The District stated during this c'inversation that all qualification information provided on these meets is correct, except the " Note 1" coment on both sheets, which incorrectly details that these valves are normally locked open. The District has revised these SCEW sheets accordingly and has completed a review of all other SCEW sheets for other such inconsistencies and typographical errors. A complete, revised Electrical Equipment Qualification manual, which will fully replace the District's last complete submittal of August 26, 1981, including revised pages 6-119 and 6-120, will be provided to the Commission.
The District expects to issue this manual revision within the next two months.
