Response
Several Recirculation aM Residual Heat Removal (RHR) system welds, as discussed in Attachment 3 to the GPC letter dated December 15, 1982, had reportable indications.
Analyses have demonstrated the need to repair six (6) welds at this time in the form of a weld overlay.
The welds requiring repair are as follows:
E;fctem Weld No.
Recirculation 1B31-lRC-22AM-1 Recirculation IB31-lRC-22AM-4 Recirculation IB31-lRC-22BM-1 Recirculation 1B31-lRC-22BM-4 RHR lEll-lRHR-20B-D-3 RHR lEll-lRHR-24B-R-13 In
- addition, the indications on Recirculation System weld 1B31-lRC-22AM-1BC-1 were analyzed and were determined not to require repairs at this time.
A leakage detection system for that particular weld is being considered.
