Dear Mr. Starostecki:
Our letter of August 31, 1982 indicated that certain ASME III Class 1 joints which were welded using ASME III Class 2 and 3 welding procedures were not reportable in accordance with 10CFR50.55(e).
Based upon the September 27, 1982 discussion with Mr. Kister of y.our staff and a review by our staff, Niagara Mohawk wishes to modify the August 31, 1982 letter.
Specifically, the above mentioned matter is reportable within the requirements of 10CFR50.55(e). Corrective action was discussed in the August 31, 1982 letter.
