Dear Mr. Denton:
Under the provisions of 10CFR50.54(p), South Carolina Electric and Gas Company, acting for itself and as agent for South Carolina Public Service Authority, submits five (5) copies of Revision 2 of the " Physical Security Plan for the Protection of Nuclear Material of Low Strategic Significance", for the Virgil C.
Summer Nuclear Station.
It was compiled as a result of minor portal and access authorization changes in the final weeks prior to receipt of the Facility Operating License.
The safeguards effectiveness of the plan is not degraded.
The enclosures contain safeguards information and should be handled in accordance with 10CFR73.21.
