BELLEFONTE NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 2 - WELDING OF STRUCTURAL STEEL ANNULUS FLOOR FRAMING - NCR 1173 - SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT The subject nonconformance was initially reported to NRC-0IE Inspector R. W. Wright on April 15, 1980, in accordance with 10 CFR 50.55(e). This was followed by our interim reports dated May 15, July 30, and November 7, 1980, February 20, June 23, July 28, and October 26, 1981, and February 9, May 3, and June 7, 1982. Our final report was submitted on July 26, 1982.
As discussed with NRC-0IE Inspector R. V. Crlenjak by telephone on August 6, 1982, the date of August 1, 1982 for completion of corrective actions indicated in our final report on this matter will not be met. Intervening hangers have restricted access to one of the affected welds. Removal of the hangers requires an extension of the previously submitted schedule.
The corrective action on this matter is expected to be completed by September 1, 1982.
