Docket No. 50-285 IE Inspection Report 81-30

Dear Mr. Seidle:

Fort Calhoun Station CQE Material Tagging Program The Omaha Public Power District's letter, dated February 10, 1982, provided the District's response to Violation 2 of the subject Inspection Report. The District stated in this response that a CQE material tag-ging program would be initiated to appropriately identify and control this material from storeroom issuance to installation and that Admini-strative Standing Order (S.O. ) G-25, " Stores Control", would be revised to incorporate this tagging program by June 1, 1982.

The purpose of this letter is te inform the Commission that the District has commenced implementation of the subject tagging program, but that S.0. G-22,

" Storage of Critical Quality Elements", has been revised to address and provide instruction regarding the Fort Calhoun Station tagging program.

S.0. G-22, instead of S.0. G-25, was revised because during the final in-depth review of the implementation objectives of the Fort Calhoun Station tagging program, the District determined that the program instruction would be more appropriate in S.O. G-22.

The District believes the intent of our response has been fulfilled and that neither the objectives nor effectiveness of the Fort Calhoun Station COE material tagging program have been compromised by this deviation.

Sincsrely, I k(L. L ). '
