Sacramento'thsitcipal Utility District is hereby submitting the following written confirmation of a 24-hour Licensee Event Report initially reported to Mr. E. Zwetzit, i of your office on October ~31,1980.
As a result of ' LEE Bulletin '73-Cl3 review, it was determined that at present no qualification docunentation'is available for the pressure switches utillaed in the mein steam system. 'These pressure switches are manufactured by i
Meletron Corporation and are utilized to initiare isolation of the steam generator fross the main feedwater following a low pressure ' indication.
Due to the : requirements of IIUREG 0660, the District is presently design-

ing a new system in the e.res of Main Steam Lir.c failure Logic.
The new system l
will be designed with components meeting all the required qualifications.
Instal-l lation of the new system will alleviate the necessity of requiring qualification documentation of the Heletron pressure switches.
Elther the new systest will be Installed and operational or the existing Meletron switches will be. replaced l
within the time frame specified in the bulletin.
A followup report wl11 he submitted within T4 days.
