Dear Mr. Chairman:
Enciased is a copy of the proposed new 10 CFR 16 of the Commission's regulations which has been sent to the Office of the Federal Register for publication. The rule will establish procedures to conform NRC regulations to the Debt Collection Act of 1982 and provide for the collection of debts owed to the Federal government by administrative offset from a Federal employee's sa lary.
The action is intended to allow the NRC to improve the collection of debts which are dueithe Federal government.
