METHOD." 1DENTIFIED IN INSPECTION REPORT 50-317/90-80 and 50-318/90-80,

CALVERT CLIFFS UNITS 1 AND 2 (TAC NOS. 77262 AND 77263)

Inspection Report Nos. 50-317/90-00 and 50-318/90-80, dated April

4, 1990,

for Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Station, Units I and 2, identified an

unresolved item concerning'the adequacy of the battery charger surveillance

test-procedure performed in accordance with Technical Specification (TS) 4.8.2.3.2.e.

By letter dated July 27, 1990, Baltimore Gas & Electric Company submitted a

.

~ technical review of the battery charger capability in response to the unresolved

item identified in the inspection report. The unresolved item questioned the

battery charger load profile (instantaneous versus step loading) used during

the test.

Based on the submittal, the staff has determined that the load profile used

during the surveillance test procedure meets the requirement of TS 4.8.2.3.P.c.

This completes our action relative to the above referenced TAC numbers.
