Dear Mr. Lundvall:

By letter dated July 25, 1978, you requested an exemption from certain requirements of 10 CFR Part 21 at the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant.

On October 19, 1978 the Commission issued an amendment to '

Part 21 that might eliminate the need for an exemption to the regulation for the situation you described in your letter. You should reexamine your request in light of the amendment to Part 21, a copy of which is enclosed, and detemine if you still believe an exemption is required. Without further correspondence from you, we will not process your present request for an exemption.
