Reactor Protection System (RPS) Power ilonitoring System Design flodification Re; Pilgrim fluclear Power Station We have completed our myiew of the subject modification for your facility.

Our review was based on your past submittals as referenced in the enclosed Safety Evaluation. He find your proposed design modifications to be acceptable.

It is our understanding that the nodification will be performed during the first planned outage of eight days duration and that proposed Technical Specification changes will be submitted at that time. If this understanding is not correct, please notify us within 30 des of the date of receipt of this letter.

This completes our review of this issue except for your forthconing Tech-nical Specification subnittal which should conform to the appmpriate guid-ance contained in the Safety Evaluation, the enclosed Technical Evaluation Report, and the revised Ibdel Technical Specification for RPS electric power ronitoring, which is being forwarded separately.
