APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Carolina Power and Light Company License Nos.: DPR-71 Brunswick 1 and 2 DPR-62 Based on the results of the NRC inspection conducted on July 18-21, 1978, it appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized as described in our correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
Technical Specification 6.8.1.a specifies that " written procedures shall be established, implemented and maintained covering applicable procedures recommended in Appendix "A" of Regulatory Guide 1.33, November,1972," in which, protective clothing is listed (Section G.S.d).
Contrary to the above, implementing procedure Section 6.5, i
" Protective Clothing and Equipment" of the Radiation Protection and Control Manual was not followed, in two cases, on July 18, 1978.
NRC inspectors observed individuals not wearing the required pro-tective clothing, as specified, in two different restricted areas.
This is an infraction.
