Narrative Summary of Operatino Experiences Unit 1 began this operating period at 100% of rated thermal i

power (RTP).

On October 8, 1993 power began to decrease as a result of end of cycle coastdown.

On October 10, 1993 at 1015 hours0.0117 days <br />0.282 hours <br />0.00168 weeks <br />3.862075e-4 months <br /> power was reduced to 92%

of RTP for Main Turbine Valve testing.

Power was restored to 98% RTP at 1203 hours0.0139 days <br />0.334 hours <br />0.00199 weeks <br />4.577415e-4 months <br />.

On October 15, 1993 extraction steam was removed from the sixth Feedwater Heaters and power was restored to 100% RTP.

Unit i ended this operating period at 99% rated' thermal power in end of cycle coastdown.

II.

Challences to Main Steam Safety Relief Valves There were no challenges to the Main Steam Safety Relief Valves during the month of October.

Narrative Summary of Operatina Exoeriences Unit 2 began this operating period at 100% of rated thermal power (RTP).

RTP for a control rod pattern adjustment and then restored to 100% RTP shortly thereafter.

On October 1, 1993 at 2043 hours0.0236 days <br />0.568 hours <br />0.00338 weeks <br />7.773615e-4 months <br /> power was reduced to 75%

RTP to perform Main Steam Isolation Valve testing and limit switch troubleshooting.
