- 450 KW (95% - 100% of continuous rating) will'immediately be applied for one hour. Verify that the load is accepted and that the engine recovers. Record data.-

- 1. Pre-Ocerational ' Test a) Engine controls set-up, alarms testing, No-load governor setpoint, and engine performance monitoring.

- 2. Startina Reliability Test-a)
From an engine warm standby condition (jacket-water and lube oil temperature at or below 130 +/- 10 degrees F (tolerance of heater element)), a total of 30 consecutive start and single step loads of 427.5 - 450 KW (95-100% of continuous rating) will be immediately applied and held for~a 1/2 hour duration with no failurer,to start or maintain load.
NOTE:
Upon completion-of 10 consecutive, successful start & load tests, the EDG can'be declared operable per NRC guidance.

For each-unit; from a diesel engine warm standby condition, perform the once per 18 month Technical Specification required " Emergency Diesel Generator Test During Refueling Intervals," OP-4209. Each' diesel generator will be monitored during the acceptance of actual plant loads.: Data will be evaluated and utilized as a basis'for final acceptance of each units' performance capability.
