FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY'S (FEMA) FINAL EXERCISE REPORT FOR THE JUNE 29, 1993 EXERCISE OF 0FFSITE RADIOLOGICAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE PUUiS FOR THE FORT CALHOUN NUCLEAR STATION Enclosed is a letter from Craig S. Wingo of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) dated November 10, 1993, transmitting the subject report for the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station.
In addition, also enclosed are letters to Ellen Gordon of the State of Iowa and Richard L. Semm of the State of Nebraska from Frank Begley of FEMA dated November 1,1993, documenting the results of remedial exercises conducted on October 28, 1993.
l There were eight deficiencies identified during the June 29, 1993 exercise.
l These deficiencies have been resolved.
Full details of the deficiencies and their resolutions are included in the report.
In addition to the deficiencies, there were twenty-one Areas Requiring Corrective Action (ARCA) identified during the June 29, 1993 exercise.
FEMA Region VII staff will work with the States of Nebraska and Iowa to correct the remaining ARCAs by the next scheduled biennial exercise.
You are requested to followup with offsite officials on the resolution of these Areas Requiring Corrective Action.
