FEMA FINAL EXERCISE REPORT FOR THE JUNE 29, 1993,-

EXERCISE OF 0FFSITE RADIOLOGICAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLANS FOR THE FORT CALHOUN NUCLEAR STATION Enclosed is a letter from Craig S. Wingo of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) dated November 10, 1993, transmitting the subject report for the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station. In addition, also enclosed are letters-to Ellen Gordon of the state of Iowa, and Richard L. Semm of the State of Nebraska, from Frank Begley of FEMA dated November 1,1993, documenting the' results of remedial exercises conducted on October 28, 1993.

There were eight Deficiencies identified during the~ June 29, 1993, exercise.

These Deficiencies have been resolved. Full details of the Deficiencies and-their resolutions are included in the report. ,

In addition to the Deficiencies, there were twenty-one Areas Requiring Corrective Action (ARCA) identified during the June 29, 1993,' exercise. FEMA Region VII staff will work with the States of Nebraska and Iowa'to correct the remaining ARCAs by the next scheduled biennial exercise.
